Evangelist “Tony Alamo” convicted of sex offenses – says prosecutors basically hate Jesus.

Sometimes I always wonder why rape victims draw the ire of evangelicals. I’ve been on the end of some serious hate mail from evangelicals who tell me to burn in Hell and all of that nonsense (that doesn’t seem very “Christian”, does it?). People drunk with power and their perceived close relationship with Jesus have been in the news a great deal these past years for unspeakable acts against their fellow man. Hey, let’s hear it for hypocrisy!

Well “Tony Alamo” – real name, Bernie Hoffman, who has evangelical churches in three states was convicted of sexually assaulting a number of young girls over the years.

Bristol Palin’s charming and mature baby daddy – unveiled via MySpace.

And this is why she shouldn’t be forced to marry this tool:

Palin and her husband, Todd, said that their daughter plans to marry the baby’s father – whom sources identified as high-school jock Levi Johnston – and that both “are going to realize very quickly the difficulties of raising a child, which is why they will have the love and support of our entire family.”

Johnston, 17, who is entering his senior year at Wasilla HS, plays on the school hockey team and was once teammates on a youth squad with Palin’s older brother, Track, 19, now in the Army.

Despite suffering a cracked bone in his shin last season, Johnston scored 24 goals in 24 games.

“We don’t want to talk about this,” said a woman who answered the phone at the Johnston home.

On a MySpace page subsequently taken down, Johnston boasts, “I’m a f – – -in’ redneck” who likes to snowboard and ride dirt bikes. “But I live to play hockey. I like to go camping and hang out with the boys, do some fishing, shoot some s- – – and just f – – -in’ chillin’ I guess.” I “GUESS”; WHAT’S TO DECIDE?

“Ya f – – – with me I’ll kick [your] ass,” he added. CHARM ALERT! Someting tells me Sarah Palin could kick his ass and skin him like a caribou for effing up her election bliss. Although, as I’ve said, this doesn’t matter. It’s not about Bristol and I agree with Obama that the children are indeed off limits.

He also claims to be “in a relationship,” but states, “I don’t want kids.” GUESS WHAT? Love the photo of the two of them practicing for the inevitable shotgun wedding.

This shouldn’t make me mad; but it does.

There’s a serial rapist in Borough Park, Queens, who has been linked via DNA to a 14-year-old Hasidic girl victim and a 4-year-old victim who was kidnapped by the evil troll. Slam dunk, right? Wrong. Trouble is,the parents of the 14-year-old won’t let her speak to authorities, much less press charges, as they fear her identity will be revealed, thereby making her less attractive for marriage.

You know what people? Marriage is the least of her problems right now. You are, in effect, allowing a serial rapist to remain on the streets. You are allowing your child to suffer in silence, to develop PTSD, to look over her shoulder, to never have any sort of real outcome, to deny herself the happiness of a career or, yes, marriage anyway. Your own people say this is a problem and yet, you won’t let her speak. You are invalidating her pain, not helping her! By burying this tragedy, you send your own precious child that she should be ashamed of what a criminal did to her.

Is this 2008? Are we in New York City? Your religion and culture does not preclude you from getting justice for your girl. Apparently, it DOES allow you to fuck up her life more than the rapist already has. It also sends the obvious message to the perp: “Hey, come to our neighborhood and rape our people. We won’t say a word.” Duh.

Mary Winkler regains custody of her children.

I’m basically opening the floor to everyone on this one. I know that my Frank “TJ” Mackey contingent will be mad, but it is what it is. If one follows the verdict and the sentencing, Mary Winkler, who shot and killed her husband, pastor Matthew Winkler, is getting her kids back. Many were outraged at her short sentence and she is viewed as the standard for mens’ rights activists who say women get sentences that are way too short. I have to personally disagree – I think there are some men and woman whose sentences are not equitable given their crimes and has nothing to do with her being a woman. My rapist – 5 and 1/2 months served of a 10 year sentence imposed. Go figure. Aileen “Monster” Wuornos? Death penalty. You see where I’m headed.

Say what you will about the deceased (apparently, not a nice guy), she did kill him and admitted it. However, I think what the court determined is that she was not a danger to her children and that her children indeed wanted to be reunited with their mother. Um, and PS – awkward alert – they’ve been living with the dead man’s parents, who, by the way, tried to block supervised visits with the girls. This can’t be good news for them. That must have been quite the handover. Gulp.

Seriously, Frank “TJ” Mackey was the only great character Tom Cruise ever played.

Purity Balls. File under “ridiculous” and “hypocrisy”. Oh, and “creepy”.

Can you believe these fake debutante-esque “balls” where children as young as 4 are promised to their fathers to be pure and given flowers and jewelry? I want to know if they have to inform said fathers when they do want to take the plunge and have a physical relationship. I have so much to say about it, but it should be rather obvious. Maybe those of us who live on the coasts live in a different world? I’d hate to be accused of elitism, but seriously, this shit doesn’t go down here.

This is one of the most unintentionally hilarious and most utterly disturbing pieces I have read. The more Puritanical we become as a society, the more issues we do have with rape, sexually transmitted diseases, teenaged pregnancy (hello, Gloucester?)and all of that. I especially enjoy that there is federal funding for abstinence programs and the story of David Diefenderfer, who has 9 children by 7 women, has Stage 4 cancer and decided to take his youngest to the purity ball. Rather like a prisoner claiming to have “found Jesus” in order to get parole. Just beyond.

Read and laugh. If you don’t, you’ll shiver.

Shocked, just shocked that he works at “Calvary Jesus Church”.

While it may come as a surprise (or not), I get a ton of hate mail from evangelical Christians. Perhaps someone can shed some light on that. They have told me they wish I would burn in hell, die a slow death, be raped again, kill myself, etc. Not kidding. It’s so much fun to hear from them. They believe that poor, spiritual man of God, Mr. Beebe, has suffered so very very much and that I am a terrible slut/bitch/whore for being un-Christian. Of course I am Christian, as are my whole family and we go to Church but apparently that’s not good enough for the zealots. Okay, then. I suppose my book tour will not be stopping in the Bible belt. I didn’t realize that Evangelicals adhered to different laws in the U.S. But I digress.

Holy heck, this magician, Jeffrey Alan Walsey, molested what is undoubtedly a little boy in the Target in Kennesaw, Georgia. He works as a “youth minister” – loosely translated, that means “child toucher”. I wish to God you folks would have the cojones to post on this blog. Tell me why we shouldn’t report crimes against humanity. How are rape survivors ungodly? I am listening.

While you’re at it, go rent the film “Jesus Camp”, a documentary about the Evangelicals. That will shed some light.
